Accordi Musicali
In summer 2025, Italy welcomed another breathtaking celebration of classical music, as the 2025 Accordi Musicali Festival made its highly-anticipated return. Following the success of its previous editions, this year’s festival once again brought together some of the world's finest musicians for an unforgettable concert series spanning multiple picturesque locations in Italy’s idyllic Abruzzo region.
Running over almost two weeks from the end of July into the first half of August, the festival showcased an impressive lineup of internationally acclaimed soloists, who headlined a series of concerts encompassing both solo and duo recitals, as well as orchestral performances, giving audiences the opportunity to experience an extraordinary selection of classical masterpieces performed in some of Italy’s most stunning historic venues.
Accordi Musicali 2025 kicked off on July 31st at Teatro Marrucino in Chieti, featuring an exceptional double bill that included both violinists Pavel Vernikov, and Svetlana Makarova, as well as the festival's orchestra. Further highlights included a concert at the Teatro Rossetti in Vasto on August 3rd, with clarinetist Fabrizio Meloni and pianist Pietro De Maria, followed by a return to Chieti the next day with a violin and piano recital featuring Nikolaj Znaider and Saleem Ashkar, and then a visit to Città Sant'Angelo, where cellist Victor Julien-Laferrière and pianist Michel Beroff took to the stage of the famed Tenuta Coppa Zuccari on the 9th of August.
In between these events, audiences were able to enjoy a wide variety of performances, featuring such lauded names as violinists Dmytro Udovychenko, Roman Kim, Maria Ioudenitch, and Johanna Pichlmair; pianists Milana Chernyavska, Hisako Kawamura, Severin von Eckardstein, Stanislav Ioudenitch, Marios Papadopoulos, Miao Huang; and cellist Maximilian Hornung, among many others.
With a roster of world-class musicians performing in breathtaking venues, the 2025 Accordi Musicali Festival was a truly spectacular event for all involved. Whether in the grand theatres of Chieti and Vasto or the picturesque setting of Città Sant'Angelo, audiences were treated to an unforgettable summer of exceptional performances, in what was an unmissable celebration for music lovers worldwide!
